Harold the Hare is a fun fabric printed panel of, Harold and his friends having fun together This will make an ideal quilted playmat, lap quilt, or wall hanging for your child and their nursery.

With a little imagination, this can give you many hours of happy sewing for you, and much pleasure for your child.  The options for a sewer using this panel are manyfold.  For example, use the whole panel and simply add some wadding, backing fabric and finish it off with a binding.  Likewise, you could dissect the panel into separate pieces.  Add contrasting fabric to these to make a larger piece of work.  Indeed, if you use some of the small pieces with contrasting fabric you could make a smaller cushion, for example.  Furthermore, using a sewing machine makes your work faster to complete, but what about hand sewing?  You could even go further and use the term Trapunto to enhance parts of Harold and his friends.

Options.

What about making a cot quilt with this panel?

If your child isn’t old enough to have a cot quilt, then why not make the Harold panel into a changing mat. Similarly, even a playmat for your baby is another option.  Furthermore, whatever you decide to make can also be utilised later.  A cot quilt, a toddler’s comfort quilt, or a wall hanging to decorate your child’s bedroom. With its many bright colours this panel will surely be easy to fit into many colour schemes in a nursery.  Lastly, when your child outgrows the design, it can also be used as a heritage or heirloom quilt.  This can then be passed down to the next and subsequent generations of your family.
