Designed by Lori Woods for Prairie Sisters, Homestead is a celebration of their first collection called Prairie Sisters. This first fabric collection was only a dream. Poppie Cotton was born when Prairie Sisters launched in 2017. There are similar ideas taken from Prairie Sisters but Prairie Sisters Homestead has its own fresh, modern look and feel. These chickens have the fabric designs from the collection as their feathers. There are daisies, flower bouquets, tiny, tossed flowers and stemmed flowers outstanding in the fields. Of course, no collection for Poppie Cotton is complete without strawberries. There are also a few geometric designs and a diagonal small-scaled gingham in 6 different colours. Also included, is an all-over 2” hexie shape design, offset with a quilted star. This can be fussy cut or used as a whole cloth.
The pattern has alternating bouquets of white oxy-eye daisies with poached egg yellow centres. These flowers, on luscious green stems, are supplemented with an array of spring flowers. These flowers resemble forget-me-nots and pink posies with red and white flowers.
All these flowers are tied with a red velveteen-looking bow with highlights of pink in the fabric.
These vertical alternating bouquets are set against a fizzy sherbert lemon-coloured background.
