Four Seasons Panel

Four Seasons Panel

Four Seasons Panel, as it says in the name this panel depicts Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter scenes.  Great for mini quilts or seasonal wall hangings. Cut individually, the panels would be great as mini quilts, lap quilts, part of a larger quilt, and many more sewing projects. The panel, not to be mistaken with Vivaldi’s Four Seasons or Franki Valli’s The Four Seasons, would look fantastic with embroidery.

The winter scene could have stitching added to the trees, and also jewel beads to resemble the ice particles, to enhance them.

The spring scene, which is the one with the bridge, could also be embellished using stitches, or as a confetti quilt or wall hanging.

A wonderful summer scene could be enhanced with some trapunto quilting, also known as “stuffed” quilting.  This will give it a lovely, raised 3D effect.

Finally, the autumnal version could make a nice wall hanging, as could the other three panels with an amazing amount of stitchwork into every leaf to depict the veins of the leaves. Used with fabric to make a border this would make a large piece of art.  All of the panels would be fantastic using the Trapunto quilting technique.

Panel approx 36″.
