Country Confetti Licorice Black is part of the Farmhouse Favourites collection from Poppie Cotton © 2020. This fabric is 44 inches wide which is the standard width of quality quilting cotton. Distributed by Nutex fabrics, from South Shields in the gregarious North East of England. Yes near the glorious Geordie land.
This range of fabrics are available in a variety of over 11 colours. On close inspection, and I mean close inspection all have miniscule marks on them. Overall, the fabric looks grey. It is only when you look close that you see these beautiful variations.
The whole range of the Country Confetti are subtle but beautiful at the same time.
These fabrics are ideal for a multitude of projects. A background on a lap quilt which has been longarm quilted in Hartlepool. Some uses already seen are sewing, dressmaking, quilting, and patchwork can be made into worthwhile extra special projects. This range of fabrics also add a dash of sophistication as a wonderful blender fabric.
‘Best Friends’ ‘Forever’ ‘In my Heart’ are the words on the selvedge which give this fabric even more special meaning. Before cutting your fabric to the requirements of your pattern, give a thought to your selvedge. Before discarding the selvedge from your fabrics, it is an option to remove it in one piece. Keep the pieces of selvedge for another project. You can use some Bondaweb type product and line all the pieces up, to make another piece of fabric. You can then use these waste pieces as a piece of wall art to frame. Maybe you could make a glasses case or a series of book marks.
You could use many of the same range to ensure a blended cohesion for that special quilt. This fabric is great for ALL your sewing projects. Baby quilts or playmats, lap quilts, or full-size kingsize quilts. A pretend coffin has had Black Licorice used to line it for a tattoo parlour opening party! It has a multitude of uses only limited by your imagination.
Of course, it could just go directly to your stash where you can continually stroke it to your heart’s content.
