Giraffe, (or as Alan calls him Giro because Alan thinks he’s an Italian Giraffe for some reason, lol) is an easy-to-follow quilting pattern.
This is a pattern by Tracy Perks of Rope and Anchor Trading Company. As well as this pattern, we stock all of the patterns Tracy has designed. See them all in our store by clicking here. Tracy will be releasing new patterns periodically during the year. These patterns mainly consist of half-square triangles of different sizes. They are easy to cut and even easier to sew when using Quilter’s Grid fabric.

Making the Quilt
The making of this quilt was a collaborative effort between Katherine, our fantastic workshop tutor, who made the quilt top; Alan who quilted it on the longarm machine and Siobhan one of our lovely drop-in/workshop ladies who kindly did the binding for us. The finished quilt is approx 42″ x 60″.
Batiks
The next one we do we fancy using Batiks, we think that would make an excellent quilt. See what batiks we have by clicking the link below.

He is now proudly on display in our quilting shop window watching the world go by in Hartlepool. We think he’s fab.
The binding fabric is the same as the fabric we used for the backing which is Crazy Paua wideback from local distributors, Nutex Fabrics.
See this and our collection of wide backs here We have approximately 30 wide back fabrics, which are all 108″ wide. These wide back fabrics are easy to use to back your quilts, or use as a patchwork fabric.
